Konya - Atatürk House and Museum

Konya Atatürk House and Museum was opened to visitors in 1964 in the former Governor's Mansion on İstasyon Street.

After Atatürk went to Anatolia to start the National Struggle and opened the Turkish Grand National Assembly in Ankara, he came to Konya on August 3, 1920, and had meetings with the people of Konya. Atatürk, who came to Konya 12 times from this date until his death, stayed in the 2-storey mansion, which was given to him by the people of Konya, which is known as Atatürk's house, most of his visits.

The mansion was built in 1912 and was used as the Governor's Mansion after 1916. When Atatürk came to Konya with his wife, Latife Hanım, on 20 March 1923, they were guests in this mansion for 4 days and for 11 days on 3 January 1925. In 1927, Konya Municipality gave the mansion to Atatürk with a decision it took, and Atatürk lived in this mansion on his next visit to Konya. The mansion, which was used as the governor's mansion again after Atatürk's death, was transferred from the Governorship of Konya to the General Directorate of Antiquities and Museums in 1963, and was opened to visitors a year later under the name (Atatürk House and Museum).

In the lower and upper halls of the Atatürk House and Museum, photographs of Atatürk's arrival in Konya and his yacht, the items used by Atatürk, his clothes, such as clothes, topcoats, shoes, tableware, lounges, chaise lounges and game tables are exhibited. Atatürk stamps collection is also in a showcase in the museum. Some of Atatürk's words were written on the boards and hung on the walls.

Konya Atatürk House was used in the days when Atatürk stayed in this house, and it was also designated as Atatürk's bedroom, study room, Auxiliary's Room and dining hall.
