In July 1927, three female students from Istanbul Capa Teachers' School were brought to Dolmabahçe Palace. Among them, Nebile remained as the adopted daughter of Atatürk. Later, Nebile, who was brought to Ankara for her education, was married to Tahsin Bey, the Chief Clerk of the Vienna Embassy of those years, when the age of marriage came. The wedding was held on 17 January 1929 in Ankara Palace with the participation of Atatürk and other guests. In the days when Atatürk got sick, Nebile was also sick. She could not get rid of the disease she caught and closed her eyes to life.

Nebile Hanım, who is the daughter of the Beylerbeyi Lodge sheikh and the niece of Izmit Governor Eşref Bey, was adopted by Atatürk in 1928. Known to be a very cheerful, talkative and beautiful girl, Nebile Hanım made her first marriage to Tahsin Bey, a member of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in 1929. divorced.

After a while, Nebile Hanım got married for the second time with Sabahattin İrdelp, an engineer working at the İzmit Paper Factory, and separated from her husband in 1942.

In 1938, Nebile Hanım was given a monthly salary of 100 liras due to the fact that she was named one of Atatürk's heirs in her will.

Nebile İrdelp, who suffered from meningitis and tuberculosis, was treated in different hospitals and eventually died in 1943 in the French La Paix Hospital in Istanbul.
