He was born in Adıyaman in 1948. He completed his painting education in Gazi Education Institute Painting Department in 1970.

While he was working as an art teacher in Anatolia, he focused on environmental studies, which was the basis of his artistic knowledge, and experienced a period of intense accumulation. He contributed to the opening of the 100 Years Atatürk Museum, which was opened in Ankara Hasanoğlan Atatürk Teacher High School in 1981, with a three-year study. He is a member of the United Painters and Sculptors Association. Between 1995-2002, he gave Photography and Basic Graphic Education courses in Gazi University Fine Arts Education Painting Department.

Kaya Özsezgin for her works, "His paintings, in which he deals with the rural landscape of Anatolia in a poetic realistic line that reflects nature and living conditions, are the products of a pure nature interpretation, far from influences." she is evaluating. Completing his Master's Degree in 1994, Erbil has works in national and international collections.

Since 1981, he has opened 18 solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions. Erbil, who also has articles and essays on art published in art magazines, continues to work in his own workshop.

MEHMET ERBIL

Mehmet Erbil was born in Adiyaman, Turkey, in 1948. He was graduated form the Department of Painting at Gazi Educational Institute, in 1970. He concentrated on natural works that stated his fine art accumulation and he experienced a dense period, while he was working as a painting teacher at Anatolian cities. When he has working in Ankara, Hasanoglan, Ataturk Teacher Training Collage, in 1981, he heped with his tree years of Works at Ataturk's Museum opening.

He is a member of society United Painters and Sculptors. He waoked at the Department of Painting in Faculty of Fine Arts of Gazi University form 1995 till 2002.

Kaya Ozsezgin appraises his works as; “His paintings, at a poemtic reality line whic reflects the nature and life conditions of Anatolian countryside land scope are all naturel evaluations of true country“ He was graduated his master at 1994. The artist's works are in National collections. He opened 18 individual exhibtion and he participated in numerous group exhibitions, since 1981. Nowadays, he works at his own studio.
