Atatürk's Ceremony Car, Lincoln, Cabriolet - 1934
Atatürk's ceremonial cars are on display at the Anıtkabir Peace Tower. The two Lincolns exhibited here were allocated to Atatürk by the Presidency between 1935 and 1938. The ceremonial car is a 1934 cabriolet. So it's the only convertible version of Lincoln's K-series. It has a black, 12-cylinder engine. Atatürk used this cabriolet to greet the heads of state. The cloth roof section of the vehicle is gathered towards the back. Negligent and torn. It was used for a while after the death of Atatürk, even in the period of Celal Bayar. It has rusty and badly painted parts. The flashy V12 emblems on both cars are still intact.
