Mustafa Kemal Atatürk examines his previous photographs taken by photographer Cemal Işıksel. (July 4, 1929)
From the Interview of Abdi İpekçi and Atatürk's Photographer Cemal Işıksel:
Abdi İpekçi;
- "Which of the pictures you took was the one that he liked the most? Did he give you such a preference?"
Cemal Işıksel;
- "I didn't always take my pictures to him and show him. On one occasion, for example, I had a group of pictures I took at the farm with me, I was going to send them to my newspaper. I went to the farm again, I was going to take a picture. At that time, I thought of showing him the pictures. I showed him the pictures. He watched it, laughing and without fault in any of it, and returned it to me as "beautiful" .
